= = Movin' Days = =

Well, found a way to deal with the whole block-off problem

http://www.livejournal.com/users/revolutionrant/

Got a site that I can actually update regularly.

Still, I'll keep this place around for a bit. Never know when it might come in handy. Just don't expect a bevvy of updates.

And go see the Star Wars Episode III trailer if you haven't. I'm trying to not get my hopes up, but with a trailer like that, it's hard not to.

= =It's like that scene in Lethal Weapon where the toilet blew up, except nothing like it = =

Okay, folks, in case you haven't heard, Xanga was blocked off by the Admin Nazis at my school, so expect updates to more or less be weekend-ly now. T_T I apologize for the wait, and the fact that my school's ran by total dickheads.

In other news, I just ate an incredibly good cherry pie.

In other other news, I love starcat. I know you all know this, but I can't be around all the time to say it, so I figured I'd just put it here for her to look and see.

In other OTHER news, expect another update in an hour or so when I actualy have stuff to say. Now, I will go play the Ranma 1/2 SNES game.

Okay, confession time. I haven’t been following this whole “Spaceship One” thing at all, which I’m sure takes me down a few notches on the ol’ Nerd-o-meter. Why? Beats me. Normally, I’d be all over shit like this. A privately owned, non-government craft making it into space is pretty big news, even if the vast majority of the populace is focused on the war or the election (not that I’m saying those aren’t important topics, but c’mon, you don’t have to divert ALL of your attention to them), and I’ve just been off in La-La-Land, either working on my writing, reading DT Book 7, or playing that GodDAMN Astro Boy GBA game, which has become an itch that I cannot scratch.

Okay, back to the topic.

What I HAVE become aware of in what little I’ve heard about the subject, is some jackass, whether a journalist or a scientist or a shiny-teeth,-bad-haircut-sporting-talking-head anchorman, will (without fail) bring up some BS about “Science Becoming More Like Science Fiction” which always gives me a “Well, what the FUCK did you expect?!”-type thought. Of COURSE science is going to start to resemble science fiction. It’s not like every scientist and inventor decided one day decided “Well, this is all good enough. Let’s just quit while we’re ahead.” So many things we have now would have been science fiction 50 or 40 years ago, and it's going to keep progressing until we end up destroying ourselves or something. It just seems a very unprofessional, unintelligent, and generally fucking STUPID thing to say.

‘kay. I’m done.

= = The Power...IS YOURS! = =

Okay, folks. After several shitacular backstory ideas that were placed where they belong (The corner of "Stupid" and "No Fucking Way In Hell"), I've decided to go to the peeps.

Furu's my general RPing character. I've made a Furu for each table-top RPG I've played (with minor physical detail changes) and there's a Furu in every console RPG I play too. It's like a tradition...kinda the Amish Barn Raisings or Moron Missions. ANYWAY, here's where YOU come in!

WHO IS THE REAL FURU?

That's RIGHT. *YOU* get to create The Main Furu (as in the sub. senshi chatbox version)'s backstory! It's very simple: Gimme the gist of the plot ideas by posting them here in the comments or grabbin' me on AIM (don't expect to do the latter though) or getting me in the chatbox. I'll chose the top two, ask for full written details (e-mailed, if neccessary) , do a little editing/altering if neccessary, and put 'em up on the main page for people to vote for! Sound good? IT BETTER.

The only requirement is...well, you know me. Don't make me some psycho ex-killer or some other overly angsty character (a lil' angst never hurt anyone though) and remember when it comes to fights, I let my fists do the talking.

Other than that, almost anything goes. So c'mon, gimme yer best shot. Any questions should be directed to ye olde comments section. READY, STEADY, GO!

= = King, you magnificant bastard! = =

Finished the last book of the Dark Tower series earlier. Hard to believe I've been reading them for the past 5 years...and now I'm done. It's not like, say, Lord of the Rings or the Narnia books or anything i've read in the past which was all available at once. I had to WAIT for these. It's just a good thing I wasn't around when Book I was originally released (1977, if the Coda in Book VI is to be believed) Anyway, a review will follow (eventually) but all I can say is that I didn't know Stephen King was taking lessons from Anno.

Also, I find this funnier than I have any reason to: http://dra-mata.com/misc/flash/chiyo-chichi_xx.swf

Headin' home today. Maybe one more update before I hit the road, maybe not. Depends on how much brain I have left.
